House Siding FAQs

I frequently mow my lawn in an area where my siding is not protected. If a rock gets thrown at my home will my siding be damaged?

Maybe, it depends on the type of siding that is on your home. If you have aluminum siding, there will be a dent that will need to be repaired. However, if you have vinyl siding, you will not have to worry about any damage.

Is vinyl siding environmentally friendly?

This is a difficult question to answer. Vinyl siding does not harm the environment when it is being used on a home or building. However, disposing of vinyl siding can be a problem. That is why most brands of vinyl siding have a lifetime warrantee. Vinyl is a durable and difficult to damage material.

I like the look of wood siding, but I do not want the maintenance. Do I have other choices?

Yes. There are other types of siding that can mimic wood. Some of the most popular are fiber cement, vinyl, and aluminum. Be sure to look at all of the imitations before choosing the one that you like. Then you are sure to get the look that you desire for your home.
